Das U&D ist nicht mehr wegzudenken aus dem Würzburger Sommer – und so darf man sich auch dieses Jahr auf 40 Acts aus den unterschiedlichsten Genres freuen, darunter Bush.ida (Rap), David Ost (Pop), Sofia Paez (Singer-Songwriterin), Julianna Townsend (Hip Hop, RnB) und Sun (Brutal-Pop) sowie die Kulturpreistäger Unordnungsamt (Punk-Pop-Folk), Lena&Linus (Indie-Pop) und Nand (Elektro-Pop).
Auch die Palettenbühne ist wieder fester Bestandteil des Programms. Dort präsentieren das Jugendkulturhaus Cairo, das Immerhin, der b-hof und die Kellerperle zahlreiche Bands wie z.B. Cava (Garage-Punk), Suck (80s Metal), Blacksmoker (Sludge Metal) oder Backyard Steps (Post-Hardcore). Der Nachwuchs bekommt mit der beliebten U25-Bühne ebenfalls wieder seine Plattform und dazu lädt ein elektronisches Programm mit verschiedenen DJs wieder zum Tanzen ein. Auf der Offenen Bühne treten außerdem Songwriterinnen und Songwriter auf und es wird eine Drag und Dance Perfomance geben.
Neben der musikalischen Vielfalt ist wie immer noch vieles mehr geboten und so lädt das Würzburger Ensembles Der Kaktus wieder zu einer wahnwitzigen Impro-Show ein und auch auf die Kleinsten wartet Theaterspaß: ZaPPaloTT zeigt sein neues Programm „ZaPPaloTT und die Comic-Helden“ und theaterta spielt „Die kleine Raupe“. Daneben bietet Kulturateur Felix Röhr Spielerisches und Interaktives für Kinder an. Neu in diesem Jahr ist der Next-Generation Slam, bei dem sich die neue Poetry Slam-Generation aus ganz Franken zur modernen Poesieschlacht trifft. Eine Premiere feiert ebenfalls die Dornheim-Bühne am Samstag, mit Gigs von den Dornheim-Residents und Vorträgen (mehr dazu hier).
Der große Basar lädt mit seinen Verkaufsständen wie gewohnt zum Shoppen ein und zahlreiche Essens- sowie Getränkestände sorgen für kulinarische Abwechslung. Daneben informieren zahlreiche Initiativen und Vereine aus dem sozialen, kulturellen und gesellschaftspolitischen Bereich über ihre Arbeit. Die kleinen Festivalbesucher erwartet wie gewohnt ein großer Freispielbereich mit einer Kletterwand, Hüpfburgen u.w.m. für verschiedenste Altersklassen.
